Motivation for Edwina Assan, Managing Director of EDTEX acronym of Edwina Textiles who is in the business of creating hand waxed batik fabrics for fashion designers and also turning them into fashion accessories and home d\u00e9cor products. These include but are not limited to wall art, curtains, fashion accessories, table linen (table runners, table cloths, placemats), aprons, cushion covers and wine sacks. Motifs for design are inspiration from nature, traditional Adinkra symbols and geometric designs set in rich \u2013 coloured, hand-dyed fabrics. Edwina is a graduate from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and holds a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Art Textile option and Certificate in Management from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). She has also participated in a number of short courses and training sessions in both Ghana and abroad.
