About

Hello! I'm Irene Danquah

I am a development leader with over 15 years of experience working across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific.

Who i am

I am a development leader with over 15 years of experience working across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific. I have led multi-country initiatives that improve economic opportunities, public health, and education — with a strong focus on women’s and youth empowerment.

I am known for building cross-functional teams, operational systems, and guiding reforms that are both inclusive and impactful. I founded Olime Health, a social enterprise promoting public health nutrition, and I serve on several boards and advisory panels. My leadership blends strategic insight, sector expertise, and a deep commitment to dignity, equity, and sustainable development.

My Journey

Over the past 15+ years, I have worked across countries and sectors to improve systems that serve people — especially women and young people. My journey has taken me through public health nutrition, education, and economic reform, where I have led multi-country initiatives, shaped national reform strategies, and collaborated with governments, development partners, and private sector actors.

My work across Africa, the Caribbean, and the Pacific has involved building and guiding cross-functional teams, designing delivery frameworks, and strengthening institutional capacity.

These experiences have deepened my understanding of diverse policy environments and stakeholder priorities and have shaped my commitment to development that is inclusive, context-responsive, and people-centred.

Leading with Faith

Leadership is not just about strategy—it’s about compassion, integrity, and purpose.

My leadership is deeply informed by my faith, which shapes how I lead with compassion, integrity, and purpose. I believe that spiritual and professional gifts are meant to be used wherever one is placed — whether in the workplace or in ministry.

I also recognise that faith-based leadership must be inclusive, respectful, and collaborative. While I lead from a Christian foundation, I have worked across cultures, beliefs, and sectors — always with a commitment to dignity, equity, and shared purpose. My faith calls me to serve, not to exclude, and I believe that systems work best when they honour the diversity of the people they are designed to serve.

My work reflects a commitment to integrating faith and excellence, ensuring that systems and programmes are designed to honour dignity, equity, and sustainable impact.
